Hello, friends. Thank you for visiting. I grew up just outside of Boston in Wayland, Massachusetts and attended Boston University.
After then spending nearly 30 years in Florida, where a jewelry fabrication class at the University of Florida inspired my lifelong passion, I returned to New England in 2007 and moved to Sharon in the fall of 2019.
In Florida I was a member of the Gainesville Artisans' Guild, believed to be the second oldest artists' cooperative in the country, and here in New England a member of the venerable League of New Hampshire Craftsmen.
Growing up next door to Concord, immersed in the historic culture of the region, I idealized the simple, contemplative life and philosophical study depicted Walden and now live much like Thoreau myself in a tiny cabin at woods' edge bordered by a confluence of streams.
A mother of two and grandmother of six, I share my home with two rescue dogs and a rescue cat, am a gardener, reader, antiques collector, nature enthusiast, animal lover, animal rights advocate and have been an ethical vegan for the past 10 years after being vegetarian for nearly 40. I make original handcrafted jewelry and other art in my sunny home studio.
Much love to all my neighbors and thanks again for visiting.
Lisa
